Where Oh Where Has Viva Gone?

Dear hearts, it has been such a long time since I've written to you and for that I am deeply sorry. The work life has been brutally all consuming (don't you hate when that happens!) and I've had to take some time to re-evaluate my stance and path of my career. There was a need to shift my focus and gears to pay some mind to that first, and sadly, Viva took a backseat for a timeout.

But, now that I have a strategy (yay!), I am feeling much more able to come back to Viva, to you, and give the both of us this space where we can continue our awesome food conversations. Because if I'm being really honest, I have so missed this!! And, what great timing because it is my most favorite time of year...it is my BIRTHDAY MONTH!

So, you already knew that I am big on birthdays and that yes, I do indeed celebrate my half-birthday. Birthday Month is where it all started. My cousin and I started celebrating our birthdays for a full thirty days as a way to really see/do/experience everything we wanted to for our birthdays without having to cram it all into one day or one weekend. Thankfully, her birthday is three months after mine so we get a nice break before we jump back into it.

Now, because I am absolutely food obsessed, you already know that my Birthday Month usually involves some epic meals. This past weekend was Birthday Month kick-off and I sure did kick this party off right. I've got some writing coming down the pike and am beyond stoked to get this onto Viva in the next coming days.
